Zahra’s School offer a range of professional services for your special event, including:

~Event Performances on Request

One or more professional belly dancers are provided upon request. Each dancer performs to a

choreographed song(s) for 25-30 minutes. Each dancer(s) have over 5 years experience and wear

professional belly dance attire for your special event. Each dancer provides her own music. There

is limited interaction between the audience and the dancer.

A CD player or sound system should be supplied as well as a private change area for the dancer(s).

The dance floor must be suitable to dance in bare feet.

Cost of Event Perfomances are $250/hr or $130/0.5 hr and a deposit of 25% is required to secure

your booking. Booking 3 weeks in advance is suggested.

~Instructional Events

During an Instructional Event, the belly dancer interacts among your guests, making your event a memory that will last a lifetime!

A Professional Belly Dancer is provided to teach you and your guests the basic and/or intermediate belly dance movements. Your guests are then split into groups and are given the opportunity to choreography their own dance with the movements that they have just learned. Belly dance instruction typically lasts for up to 1 hour.

Zahra's is able to provide the studio space for your special event or the dancer can travel to your event location*. A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking. Booking 3 weeks in advance is suggested.

Zahra's School provides 2 types of Instructional Events packages:

1. The Basic Belly Dance Package

2. Themed Package

1. The Basic Belly Dance Package

The Basic Belly Dance Package costs $15/person. This includes instruction and the use of our hip scarves to borrow while learning the belly dance movements.

2. Themed Package

The Themed Package costs $30/person. Belly dance hip scarves, leis or feather boas are provided to you and your guests to keep as a memento of your special event. You and your guests are able to wear your memento while learning the belly dance movements.

Each dancer at Zahra's School has over 5 years experience and dress in professional and authentic belly dance attire for your special event. The dancer will provide her own music. Zahra's School has won many awards for exceptional customer service and community involvement. The School and its students are regularly featured in media outlets, such as the Toronto Star , City TV, Snap Ajax, and Rogers Television. The School is very well known and represented among the international belly dance community.
