Zahra's School has won many awards, including the Reader's Choice awards for 5 consecutive years and has appeared on many media outlets including CityTV, Rogers TV, The Toronto Sun, Snap Ajax and the Ajax/Pickering paper.  Zahra's School is an ongoing contributor of the local community by raising funds to support the Ajax Pickering Hospital, the Durham Human Society and sponsoring a makeup drive for a local woman's shelter.
